PELJEŠAC is the second biggest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea with a length of 65 km (SE-NW). The peninsula has a divers landscape with alternating bays, beaches, hills, and plains.
On the plains placed in the middle of the peninsula, shielded from the wind by hills vine is grown for the world-wide famous vines made in Pelješac, like Dingač and Postup.
Along the coast, on the north and south side there are small and big bays, some of them inhabited but most intact.
We will mention here only a few places where you can have a nice time, the rest is for you to discover.

OREBIĆ OREBIĆ is situated on the southern side of the peninsula, opposite the town Korčula. Since the old times the inhabitants were seamen, and since the beginnings of the 20th century they have engaged in tourism, which became their primary activity. There is a ferry from Orebić to Korčula every day.
There are a few small places near Orebić. On the west you will find Kučište, Viganj i Lovište, very attractive to surfers, and if you go east you will come to Podobuće, Borje, Postup i Mokalo places that attract those who want some peace and quite. There is also the Dingač area that gained more importance in tourism since the tunnel from Potomje was built.

STON is only 5 km far from the Adriatic Highway, placed at the entrance of the peninsula Pelješac. For its rich history and the protective walls, which are the longest in Europe, and especially for the cultivation of sea shells and oysters Ston is interesting for many visitors of the Dubrovnik region.

Next to Ston are Mali Ston, Hodilje, Luka, Duba, Broce i Kobaš, very pleasant places for swimming and water sports. Bay Prapratno Prapratno is a pearl for tourists who like camping on beautiful beaches.

 

TRPANJ is on the northern side of the peninsula and it has a ferry connection to Ploče. The inhabitantas are mainly engaged in navigation, fishing, and tourism. A lot of green and the clear sea are the hallmark of this area. Near Trpanj are Duba and Divna with one of the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic Sea.
On the northern side of the peninsula are the small bays Crkvice, Velika Prapratna, Osobjava.

TRSTENIK is situated in the middle of the peninsula. Clear sea, a big beach, and natural beauty are a real bait for many tourists. There is a ferry from Trstenik to Mljen during the summer season.

ŽULJANA is situated in a big bay, and near it and in the bay Vučine are many beautiful sand beaches.

DRAČE are also in the middle of the peninsula. With the beautiful bays, Drače and the near-by Sreser, attract many tuorists during the summer season. You can also find Brijesta in this region.
